KLR is one of the fastest growing accounting firms in New England. We are seeking a Transaction Advisory Services Supervisor to join our Audit team in our Providence Office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence in buy-side and sell-side transactions
  • Review target company financial information and other data to identify:
      • Historical and projected financial, operating, and commercial trends
      • Quality of earnings adjustments
      • Working capital and debt considerations
      • Potential liabilities and other business risks which could impact valuation
  • Identify pre- and post-acquisition transaction issues in the context of financial due diligence
  • Identify purchase price reductions, deal restructuring, or other issues affecting a transaction
  • Assist in drafting Due Diligence reports, including quality of earnings, working capital and other transaction related analysis
  • Supervise, develop and evaluate staff where appropriate; be willing to take on projects without assistance when needed
  • Coordinate work with other service teams (Tax, IT) on the due diligence projects
  • Communicate effectively with internal managers/partners and clients, target company management, investment bankers and other client advisors on a transaction
  • Contribute to staff training programs, including the continued development of due diligence practice aids and to adherence to practice compliance requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, with a background in auditing preferred but not required
  • CPA or CFA designation is a plus
  • Experience with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies is preferred but not required
  • Fundamental understanding of the cash, modified and accrual basis (GAAP) methods of accounting, including working knowledge of cash to accrual accounting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PPT), experience with UpSlide and ProSystem Engagement is preferred, but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred, but not necessary
  • Good general business knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under the pressure of transaction deadlines

We are looking for a candidate to work full time. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with increased hours during our peak season: January through April and August through October. These periods require increasing normal weekly hours, which include weekends.
